Alice Rose Fun Run 2024

Start and finish lines erected, music ready and goody bags laid out, this year's Alice Rose Fun Run was ready to kick off, however the high winds had other plans...quick grab the bags! The quickest reset you have ever seen and everything was back in place. As runners, joggers and cheerleaders arrived you could see a quick glance over at the cakes table. If you ever needed motivation that was it right there.

This year the Radio Lollipop team split themselves up, half took part in the race and the other half were on duty awarding medals, giving out water and gifting the beautifully decorated goody bags.

There were definitely some very creative people involved.

Some participants took the race very seriously with our very own Leo the Lion coming in top 10! Others included a very friendly rhino and parents carrying their children the entire course.

As the last of the runners made it over the finish line, it was time to head over for the awards ceremony.

It seems to have very much become a thing that if you can't get the top 3, you should aim for the last two crossing. Those wooden spoons have become very popular.

A few final words along with a special shout out to Radio Lollipop, a few more scrumptious cakes enjoyed and that was this year's event wrapped up.
