It's amazing the work that Radio Lollipop volunteers do, creating smiles as they provide play, comfort, care and entertainment not only to the children in hospitals but their families too. So when, the London team were approached by the organisers at Winter Wonderland to attend their VIP morning in recognition of the work that they do, it was a fantastic feeling.

Ice king and queen

Meeting at the Gold Gate in Hyde Park, the team were greeted by the ice king and queen. Perhaps the excitement got the better of them as they started on one of the fastest rides, flipping them upside down and swaying them side to side, you could understand why they were a little wobbly after the ride.

From rides to beautiful works in the Magical Ice Kingdom, understandably and very on brand you can see why the team referenced it as Elsa's Palace! Amongst the incredible ice sculptures was a slide made of ice, 3, 2, 1, go!

The Magical Ice Kingdom

To end the day, the team headed over to the circus to absorb the creative acrobatic and comical routines but before that a pit stop at the Cadbury's stand to enjoy a delicious hot chocolate, which was much needed after the Magical Ice Kingdom (be warned, it is very cold in there but so worth it!).

We can't thank the team enough at Winter Wonderland for recognising the work that Radio Lollipop do and for giving us this opportunity...thank you!
