Friends, family and Lollipoppers travelled from all over to come together in-person for the first time since 2019 to take park in the annual 1-mile run in memory of Alice Rose. The Fun Run was set-up by her parents after her passing at Great Ormond Street Hospital back in 2009. Alice Rose was a huge fan of Radio Lollipop and together we created many fun memories.

As the sun shone over the Douglas Eyre Sports Centre in Walthamstow, near Alice Rose's family home, it created the perfect backdrop for the event. Everyone took to the start line, from the super speedy runners to the brisk walkers, ready to take on the 1-mile challenge.

Throughout the course of the run you could hear laughter and words of encouragement, sending a wave of positive energy into the air. Below our very own Vic, getting ready to start the run.

Having made it across the finish line, participants were each awarded a medal to celebrate.

We even got a glimpse of some royalty who took part in the race!

It was an honour for our volunteers to take part in the Fun Run and to be able to continue to support Alice Rose's family.
